In an actors situation, the time they aren’t needed on set means they can shoot another movie in that spare time if they wanted to. It’s an efficient way of working.Įveryone benefits from having a call sheet because it’s a bit like a timetable. It keeps everything organized so there isn’t any unneeded chaos. They detail what scenes are going to be filmed, what time they’re filming, the cast needed on set, locations and the environments the scenes take place in. ![]() I’ve got a little bit of experience working to a production schedule and it hasn’t always gone to plan but seeing as more or less the entirety of the FMP will be down to me, I don’t think I’ll have as many problems as I have in the past.Ĭall sheets are given out to everyone who has to be on set for a given day, this includes the actors and crew. Producers do a lot of organising and the director needs to know when he has to have everything finished for. Producers and directors will benefit the most from having a production schedule. Holding casting calls are really useful for that reason. ![]() So getting the casting right is massively important. Getting good actors in your production can be the difference between it being really good or horrifically bad. For example, if you’ve got a bunch of unknowns attached to you’re movie it might be more difficult to find funding for the project than if you had a few A-Listers amongst them. The same can be said for the Producers who may be able to garner more money for production of the film based on the actors involved. The reason it benefits the Director is because without a cast of actors he doesn’t have a movie. In terms of my FMP, doing a risk assessment will certify that I have made sure all potential dangers have been noted and that the correct of action has been taken to prevent injuries from happening, ensuring the safety of everyone involved.ĭirectors and Producers benefit the most from casting actors as well as the Actors themselves and particularly Casting Directors because without the casting process, they wouldn’t have a job. That’s why they are now a legal obligation. The health and safety of people is always the most important thing, if someone was to tragically die on set then production would either be halted or potentially even shutdown, so making sure risk assessments are done properly is extremely important. ![]()
